10/04/2015 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Brandon is a 2018 OF with a projectable frame and tools. Defensively, he works with aggressive actions and efficient footwork to the ball. His hands are out front, transfer is smooth, and throws are accurate. At the plate, this RHH uses his lower 1/2 and solid balance to show signs of next level pop. Getting separation and staying through the ball will allow Brandon to hit with pop to all fields. Overall, he is a talented OF with a bright future ahead as he works to polish his skills on the diamond.

07/25/2014 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Brandon is an athletic OF that shows a lot of potential. In the OF he has a quick first step, is aggressive to the ball, and shows good body control. He makes accurate throws with a clean / fluid arm action. At the plate he has a good load, strong balance, and he uses his lower half well. His approach at the plate is advanced for his age and he consistently put up quality at bats during games. With his size and athleticism, Brandon should continue to improve and be a solid OF at the next level.

03/09/2014 - National Tryout - Hightstown, NJ Brandon has worked hard and developed well at the plate. This RHH shows good rhythm and gets back into a strong loaded position. He has simple actions and delivers the barrel on a short/direct path, resulting in consistent contact. Utilizing his lower 1/2 throughout the swing will help to increase pop off of his bat. In the OF, Brandon hustles into position and tries to get leather on everything. He has a clean exchange and delivers accurate throws into his target. Playing through the ball and increasing his arm-strength will aid in his development in the OF. Only a 2018 grad - Brandon will make an impact over the next few years.

08/05/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Bear (Wilmington), DE Brandon showed great improvements in his infield ability at his recent outing with Baseball Factory. At third, he fields in front with sure hands, and works through the ball to throw accurately to his target. In the outfield, he is aggressive to come get balls, and works behind and through to throw with carry. Offensively, he is a good contact hitter that has a strong setup with good balance, and uses his lower half fully. Overall - Foley continues to show consistency/improvement to his game from event to event.

07/15/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Brandon showed strictly as an OF in his latest Factory outing. The 5'11"/148 lbs frame allows Brandon to have quick hands, solid barrel accuracy and an up-the-middle approach, offensively. Defensively, he plays low to high being athletic in his fielding position. He has natural instincts and takes good routes/angles and throws accurately to his target. We continue to see growth in Brandon from event to event, and look forward to what the future has in store for the young athlete.

Offense
1. Direct with barrel
2. Extension through contact
3. Level swing path
Outfield
1. Aggressive to ground balls
2. Lower half to throw
3. Long toss

09/08/2012 - Infield Accelerated Training Weekend (Commuter) (Ages 12-14) Brandon is a young player with a strong body. Overall he displays good athletic ability but needs to really focus on the fundamental approach of fielding. There were a lot of good adjustments made over the weekend that showed promise for the future. Brandon should continue to focus on his footwork to the ball, he does a good job working around and gaining ground but needs to work on an earlier setup with better separation. His tendency is to be over aggressive and doesn't have time to separate his route from his fielding position (Right, Left, Field). This will help him field balls with a square fielding position with his hands out in front instead of deep. Brandon displays a strong arm and flashes a quick exchange when needed. Range is solid, especially to the left side. With 3 years to further develop his fundamentals, Brandon shows abilities with room for growth in his overall fielding approach.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
