Official Scouting Report

  • 3BPosition Projection

01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Brandon showed strictly as a 3B at the UAPSAA Event with Baseball Factory. The left handed hitting corner infielder displayed consistency in both his offensive & defensive game. At the plate, he attacked pitches in the zone with a level path and generated plus bat speed. His feel to hit proved to be advanced and his smooth rhythm/timing offer continued success as the game speeds up and competition improves. Defensively, he works his feet well to make plays and presents the glove in front. He is sure handed and brings solid energy to the position. All in all - Brandon is a promising LHH corner guy that does everything on the diamond with consistency, and projects well at the next level.

07/27/2016 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Brandon is an extremely talented prospect who has a great blend of tools and athleticism to make him a difference maker on the field. At the dish he takes a huge hack but also has a very pretty swing. He has smooth actions with activated hands and a level bat path that leads to fast bat speed and allows him to drill line drives gap to gap. At third, this prospect has a very strong arm across the diamond. His agility leads to lots of range to both sides and he plays through the ball well. Brandon is a prospect who will definitely make an impact at the next level.

02/07/2016 - College PREP - Tomball (Houston), TX Brandon is a talented 2-way player (RHP/SS) who has a strong/athletic build. On the mound, this RHP has an effective 3-pitch mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot. He works to a tall/controlled balance point, has smooth separation and stays directional toward the plate. FB ranges from 78-80 mph as he works it in and out. Slider has 10/4 shape with good action - showing to be a solid out pitch. At SS, Brandon shows active footwork moving around the GB and picking out the hops. He makes the plays with soft hands and works through the ball well. Offensively, this lefty has a balanced setup with rhythm in his hands. He delivers the barrel quickly on a level path and connects with pop. The ball explodes off of his barrel as he drives the whole field. Brandon is a skilled/versatile athlete whose tools will translate well into the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
