05/26/2012 - Little League® Experience Brandon Karpinski is a 2018 graduate who catches. Behind the plate Brandon receives the ball with soft and sure hands. He is very athletic behind the dish and has fluid footwork. He has an efficient and sound release and is accurate with all of his throws to the bag. The up side is very high for Brandon and with more work he should be a great catcher at the next level as he has a very good idea with how to control a game. At the plate he has an athletic set up and his balance is centered. He has average bat speed for his age and swings a level bat. He has potential power and is very raw at the plate. WIth better timing and a more fluid approach at the plate, Brandon could be a nice bat at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
