09/22/2019 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Brandon is a tall OF who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared, athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. In the OF, he displays smooth/clean actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes/angles. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry (80 mph velocity) to his target but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Brandon has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
