09/16/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Parkville (Kansas City), MO Brandon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Brandon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the MIF, he displays smooth fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open / athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Brandon continues to show a bright future on the diamond. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently through the swing. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

09/10/2017 - College PREP - Kansas City, KS Brandon is an athletic and talented young SS prospect. At SS, Brandon has quick feet and creates good angles on ground balls. He has soft hands and quick exchange. If he continues to follow through with his throws off slow rollers he will elevate his game to the next level. At the plate, Brandon has an athletic stance and gets his stride foot down on time. He attacks the inside part of the ball and drives the ball to the middle part of the field. Continuing to drive his lower half into the ball will allow him to keep making hard contact. This young prospect will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
