11/15/2015 - College PREP - Pearland, TX Brandon showed at SS and on the mound and continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at both positions. Foot speed has really improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an outstanding runner at 6.94. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 76 mph. Fastball showed a range of 71-76 mph. Knuckle ball is his best off speed pitch, showing a feel for with solid dancing action with downward action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to throw more strikes. At SS, he utilized his quick feet as he moves well to both sides, displaying range. Footwork is a plus as he attacks balls and plays with a lot of energy. Hands/feet work well together through the fielding process with defensive grade continuing to improve as he presents glove more out front. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through an aggressive approach. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively through the swing.
