11/11/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Davie, FL Brannon is an atheltic OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Brannon shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with good carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short, square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed which leads to loud contact and solid power. Overall, Brannon is a talented prospect who shows the skill set to produce at the next level.

01/21/2018 - College PREP - Delray Beach, FL Brannon worked out behind the plate in Delray and showed solid overall skills. Hitting is very good and power grades are high. Brannon has an athletic set-up, good balance, and fast bat speed. He is a strong hitter with a direct barrel to the ball and can spray to all fields with power. Behind the plate, Brannon sits-in athletically, he has quick feet, and tracks well. He works around the ball, blocks softly, and throws with a quick arm action to 2nd base.

11/12/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Davie, FL Brannon is a stud 2019 OF prospect who has loud tools all over the field. He absolutely demolishes the ball with a massive cut and big time strength to show home run power. His hands are lightening quick through the zone and he attacks the ball, trying to do damage with every easy, fluid cut. His lower half generates great power and he makes nothing but hard contact to all fields. In the outfield, his great speed leads to huge range to track down everything hit his way. He fields everything cleanly and has a cannon of an arm to throw out any runners who test him. Brannon is a wildly talented and impressive prospect who we expect to be making big contributions a the next level very soon.

10/02/2016 - National Tryout Plus - Charlotte, NC Brannon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, he has improved his hitting abilities through an open athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a direct / smooth swing path. He works to stay inside the ball and shows good barrel accuracy with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with good rhythm and timing.

12/27/2015 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Brannon is a hardworking, coachable player who continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has really improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a solid 7.03 runner. In the OF, he utilizes his quick feet in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly and is an accurate thrower. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a balanced setup. He has strength in his swing with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered, mainly to the pull side. Power grade will continue to increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively.

11/01/2015 - College PREP - Vinton (Roanoke), VA Brannon is a strong, athletic OF that will graduate in 2016. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.14 60 time. Defensive abilities in the OF are slightly above average, displaying smooth / fluid actions. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in taking proper routes / angles to track balls down. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls, playing through well. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program and work to get rid of the baseball quicker. At the plate, he shows a squared setup and he tracks the ball well. Hands are loose, and aggressive, working through a level swing path and he makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side through a line drive approach. He has strength in his swing with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to stay inside the ball to utilize all fields. Brannon has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
