09/17/2023 - National Showcase - Troy (Albany), NY Brayden continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.40 runner. At 3B, defensive abilities are now well above average as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft and presents out front. He utilizes his foot speed well in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (87 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential are now solid through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap power. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfer weight into a firm front side.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Brayden is a coachable 3B/RHP in the class of 2026 out of New York. Defensively, he was ready on the balls of his feet which helped him make the routine play and create momentum through the ball to make accurate throws to his target. Offensively, he used a tall/open stance with loose hands to work the barrel to the ball and show power to the pull side of the field. On the mound, he was composed and threw two pitches which included a fastball and breaking ball. His fastball topped out at 66 mph while is breaking ball sat between 55-57 mph. Brayden could benefit from programs such as long toss, speed & agility as well arm path drills.

09/12/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Troy (Albany), NY Brayden is an athletic 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall, open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 61-63 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength. With 5 years to further develop, Brayden has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
