10/08/2023 - National Showcase - Atlanta, GA Brayden continues to show growth in his baseball skills as a 2027 OF/RHP prospect. In the OF, he shows off fluid, active movements and a good first step. He has good range to all angles and does a good job of getting in a low, squared fielding position. He presents his hands out in front when fielding and stays aggressive to the baseball. His exchange is quick and clean and he has an easy, loose arm. He makes consistent throws to his targets and creates momentum with his release. At the plate, he starts in a squared stance and gets a good load back. He does a great job of keeping his balance centered through contact and works hard to keep his lower half fully involved. He uses all fields and makes consistent contact. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 slot and features a 3-pitch mix. He gets on-time separation and he does a great job of staying squared to his target when driving to the plate. He shows off command to the arm-side of the plate and the ability to get some arm-side run. He ran his FB up to 69 MPH and showed off signs of command. His breaking ball has a 10-4 break and he does a good job of throwing his CH with a natural/loose stroke. We are excited to see more of Brayden as he continues to develop!

07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - (MS) Brayden is a 2027 C/3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series. Behind the dish, he starts in a relaxed primary stance, with an easy sit, and tracks pitches to mitt. He does a good job of replacing his feet as he works with good direction towards second base. He has a quick arm stroke in back with 3/4 arm slot coming forward. Made accurate throws on the bag with an arm velocity up to 72mph and a best pop time of 2.53 seconds. At the plate, he made consistent contact and had a bat exit velocity up to 68mph. With 5 years of growth and development, we foresee Brayden having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

05/15/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Brayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the dish, he presents a firm mitt, sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in 2.70 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. At 3B, he displays smooth, fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up but needs to attack ball and play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Brayden is a tough hard working 2026 3B/C out of North Carolina. At 3B, he gutted out injury but still was able to make the routine plays and work through the baseball to make consistent throws to his target. Behind the plate, he showed great effort while getting in a low stance to present the glove early and track the ball to his mitt. Offensively, he used a tall stance with loose hands and a square stride to work on plane and in balance. He made consistent contact and worked the ball through the middle of the field in his approach. Brayden could benefit from programs such as long toss, speed & agility and strength training. This young athlete is tough as nails and competes at everything he does.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
