10/02/2016 - College PREP - Kansas City, KS Brayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. In the MIF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes quick first steps and attacks balls, showing good body control. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. At the plate, he has improved his hitting / power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

08/08/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Brayden is an athletic 3B who will graduate in 2018. At the plate is he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active in displaying proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, displaying clean hands in making the plays. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents well out front. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to increase foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 2 years to further develop, Brayden has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
