01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Brayden is a talented 3B prospect who plays the game with an aggressive approach. Offensively, Brayden is a switch-hitter who has talent on both sides of the plate showing slightly better from the right-side. He has a square setup with high hands. Brayden has a small load with on-time rhythm and a square stride. He shows fast bat speed with an on-plane, smooth swing path. Brayden engages his core and uses his lower half throughout his swing. He consistently lands the barrel to the baseball producing hard contact. Brayden has the ability to drive the ball to the pull side with power. At the hot corner, Brayden has a relaxed, athletic ready position. He moves with effective footwork and the proper angles to cover good ground. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a low, athletic position. Brayden plays with momentum through the baseball and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate across the diamond. Overall, Brayden can make an impact on both sides of the ball giving him a bright future on the diamond.

07/17/2018 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Brayden is a young, switch hitting 3rd baseman with very good skills. Defensively, Brayden has good pre-pitch actions, active feet, and soft/sure hands. He takes good angles to the ball, his exchange is quick, and he delivers the ball with carry and accuracy across the diamond. Offensively, Brayden is skilled from both sides, but currently better from the right. He has a tall set-up, a good load, and solid balance. He has very fast bat speed, a direct barrel to the ball, and he makes hard contact gap to gap. From the left side, Brayden has a closed stance, fast bat speed, and a level/square approach through the ball. Letting it travel and finishing off his swing can help hitting numbers improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
