12/03/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Brayden is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2024. He continues to show improvement in all areas of his game. In the OF he shows ability to flip hips and make routine plays. He catches fly balls at highest point and keeps feet active throughout the fielding process. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 75mph. A right-handed pitcher who works exclusively from the stretch. Does a good job of picking up his target and works with good direction to his target. He lands square to his target and gets his chest to his glove. Has a 3-pitch mix he attacks hitters with. He works off of his FB that topped out at 70mph, an 11/5 shaped slider, and a fork ball with downward action. FB was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate he hits from a tall and closed stance. Good timing to swing and is centered at contact. There is quickness to hands and has a high finish. Hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during his round of BP. With another season of development, we foresee Brayden having opportunities to play at the next level.

09/17/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Brayden is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame lean build with strength present. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.91 seconds. In the OF shows athletic actions and centers the baseball. Good 1st step reads enable him to create good fielding angles. 1 hand catch on flyballs and creates momentum to target. Fields from a low fielding position, with a clean exchange, and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. He made accurate throws into infield with an arm velocity up to 74mph. On the mound he works exclusively from the stretch and shows ability to repeat his delivery. Picks up target early and shows a quick arm. A 4-pitch pitcher who attacks hitters with a FB that sits 71-72mph. He mixes in an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, a slider from the same release point, and a fork ball with plus command. Fork ball was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate he hits from an athletic and even stance. Does a good job of tracking balls to bat and keeps his hands inside the baseball. He is centered at contact as he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph during his round of BP. With another year of development, we foresee this 2-way player having opportunities to play at the next level.

10/04/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Grapevine (DFW), TX 2024 grad Brayden Malone has cross country in his background and you can see it when he plays baseball as he is light on his feet and quick. Due to this, we see him shining a little more in the outfield at this point. We would like to see him add pre-pitch movement to his defensive play to help add carry to his throws and another step to his range. At the plate, Brayden starts with a wide base, tracks the ball well and delivers the barrel consistently. With four years of high school baseball in front of him, Brayden has the time and athleticism to get where he needs to be.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
