12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Brayden continues to impress with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas tournament. In the OF, feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Glove action is firm and presents out front. He attacks ball, plays through with his body, and uses his foot quickness to cover ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work on plane to the ball. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/10/2023 - National Showcase - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Brayden is a 2024 OF prospect with a tall, lanky frame at 5'10" 150 pounds. In the OF, he shows off active, efficient feet and covers ground to all angles, taking good routes to the ball. He gets in a low, squared fielding position and shows off soft hands and catches the ball out in front. He does a great job of working behind the baseball. His exchange is quick and clean and he makes accurate throws to his targets with a long arm action from a 3/4 slot. He shows strength online to his targets and does a good job following his throws. At the plate, he starts in a squared, tall stance and has an on-time, short stride to the pitcher with a good load back. He keeps his head still and shows off nice, centered balance throughout his swing. His swing path is level and on-plane, and he gets great extension when he finishes. He works hard to engage his lower half more. Brayden is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see more of as he enters his senior year of high school!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
