He does a nice job rotating with his core towards his target as he finishes. He commands his curveball with late break. Overall, Brayden has good upside with the ability to impact the game in multiple areas.

07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Brayden continues to show a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 61-66 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with early break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
