Official Scouting Report

  • SS/RHPPosition Projection

01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Brayden is a 2028 SS/RHP who showcased his talents in front of scouts at the BF Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, he has good footwork and covers ground laterally well. He fields from a square position and presents his hands away from his body. Brayden threw from a high ¾ arm slot and had accurate throws with good carry. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has an athletic stance and comfortable hands. Brayden has an activated load and a short-square stride. He has a strong lower ½ and smooth swing path. He does a good job of staying connected and focused on the top half of the ball producing a lot of line drives. On the mound, he showed a 3-pitch mix. He had fastball that topped at 75 mph and a breaking ball that had 10-4 break. His change-up was very effective with good run and a natural stroke. Brayden gathers over the rubber and gets good separation. He has a controlled landing and a clean arm action. We foresee that Brayden will continue to develop both at the plate and on the mound in years to come.

12/03/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Brayden is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2028. Brayden continues to show improvement in all areas of his game. At SS he shows fluid footwork as he works from right to left on baseball. He creates good fielding angles and fields through the baseball. Fields from an athletic fielding position with soft hands out front. Has a quick release as he made accurate throws across the diamond with an arm velocity up to 73mph. On the mound he uses his legs well and rotates to his target. Gets his chest to his glove and has a quick/clean arm stroke. He challenges hitters with a FB that sits 71-72mph with arm side run, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that flashes good depth, and a developing changeup. FB was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate he hits from a tall and even stance. Has a simple swing with quickness to his hands. A lower half driven swing with ability to get on-plane early. Hit balls consistently to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Brayden having opportunities to play at the next level.

07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Brayden is a talented SS/RHP who continues to be an impressive 2028 prospect. In the field, he shows strong athletic ability and smooth footwork. Generates a quick 1st step and plays low to the ground. Shows excellent glove presentation and clean exchanges. Throws are accurate and arm plays at 74 velo. On the mound, displays a composed mindset and solid poise. Has a repeatable delivery and keeps his eyes to the target. His FB touched 67 and sat 61-4. His CB/SL combo ranged 47-8 (CB) and 50-3 (SL). Both showed close to a 10-4 shape. His CH sat 53-4 and graded out well. Scouts liked his bat path at the plate and raved about his finish. Loads his body well and can stay in the middle of the field. Bat speed is there at 71 and as he learns to maintain posture with his upper body, the speed will increase. Overall, Brayden is a solid prospect in the 2028 class.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Brayden is a SS/RHP prospect in the class of 2028. At the plate, he does a very good job of consistently finding the barrel. Shows lots of athleticism throughout his swing. Flashes quick hand speed and the ability to extend through the baseball. Works gap-to-gap with power potential. In the field, he does a good job of picking out hops. Does a good job of keeping his eyes behind the backhand and working down to up. Shows the ability to change arm angles. Creates momentum to throw. On the mound, he delivers all pitches from a High ¾ arm slot. Flashes the ability to throw 3 pitches for strikes. Could benefit by dropping his arm slot to get more arm side run. Brayden is a well-rounded prospect with a bright future that we hope to see again soon.

11/06/2022 - All-In Membership - Plano (DFW), TX Brayden is a RHP/SS prospect who will graduate in 2028. A young/developing player with some strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At SS, he works to center the baseball, with quick feet, and showed ability to make routine plays. He closes distance on baseball and has good glove actions. Has a clean exchange as he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot coming forward with an arm velocity up to 67mph. He fields from a low fielding position and made on-line throws to first base. On the mound, he separates his hands on-time, with a quick/clean arm stroke, and works with good direction down the mound. Brayden has good mechanics and showed ability to repeat them. He throws a FB that sits 63-65mph, a cutter with correct shape, and a developing changeup. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. He has simple and repeatable swing. During his round of BP, he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 62mph. With 6 years of continued growth and development until he graduates, we foresee this 2-way player making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
