  • Class Rating
  • C/RHPPosition Projection

08/23/2023 - National Showcase - Trenton, NJ Brayden is a C/RHP in the 2027 class. Behind the plate, he has effective feet and centers his body to the baseball. He tracks the pitch well and keeps his thumb under the baseball. Presents a strong target and gains an over-the-top release. Has arm strength at 77 velo. Blocks well and covers the 5-hole. Working to relax his wrist on receiving will create more fluid actions. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix. Stays directional and keeps his eyes to the target. His FB sat 60-1 and his CB shaped at 11-5 at 51-2. His change had FB arm speed at 55-6. At the plate, he begins in an tall and open stance and works to keep his balance inside his feet. Displays gap-to gap production with 75 exit velo. Overall, Brayden looks to have a bright future as a two-way player. Scouts are eager to witness his development at future BF events.

03/26/2023 - National Showcase - Manalapan, NJ Brayden is a C/1B prospect who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with some strength present and room to add throughout. At C, he showed quick footwork and works with good direction towards second base. He works around the baseball as he gains ground to second base. Tries to work thumb under baseball while keeping balls in the strike zone. Clean transfer, with a long arm stroke, and a high 3/4 release point. He made throws to second base with an arm velocity up to 72mph and a best pop time of 2.5 seconds. In the infield, starts with a good prep step and ability to center the baseball. Showed ability to make routine plays and keep ball in front of him. Good footwork around the bag with ability to scoop balls. At the plate, he hits from a tall and square stance. He swings with intent and has a high finish through contact. He gets on-plane early as he hit balls hard to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph during BP. With 4 more years of growth and development, we foresee Brayden having a bright future on the baseball field.

11/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Manalapan, NJ Brayden is a 1B/RHP who will graduate high school in 2027. A young/developing player who has plenty of time/room to add more strength throughout. At 1B, he works to center the baseball, with efficient footwork, and ability to make routine plays. Creates good fielding angles to both his glove side and backhand. He fields baseball out front with a clean exchange. He made on-line throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 64mph. Showed good footwork around the bag. On the mound, Braydon works exclusively from the stretch. He keeps his eyes on target and works with good direction down the mound. He lands square to target and is around the zone with all of his pitches. Throws a FB that sits 59-62mph, a 10/4 shaped slider, and a changeup with sinking action that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate, he starts with an upright and square stance. Quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. Starts with a small hand load and a square glide step. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
