11/04/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures Texas Braylen performed very well at the BF UA Futures Texas event, showing unbelievable improvement in just a year since we last saw him. He has a lean, projectable 6'2"/165-pound frame that oozes athleticism. He ran a 6.58 in the 60 and has life in all of his actions. He is an instinctual defender, reading hops well and taking good angles to make plays. A 2-handed fielder, Braylen presents his glove well, plays low and is fundamentally sound throughout the secure/exchange/release process. His 88 mph raw arm strength shows when he needs it, though his advanced internal clock helps him to always play at a productive pace. At the plate, Bryan is aggressive with quick hands producing a short, line drive stroke. His trigger gets a bit rushed at times, but when he is on time the result is usually barrel contact. Overall, this is a high upside prospect to watch closely thanks to his ability to play the game and stay at a premium defensive position.
