01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Brendan had another strong outing with Baseball Factory, this time at the UAAAPS Event in Mesa, AZ. The righty showed a good three pitch mix from a repeatable delivery. He gathered over the rubber to initiate and separated on-time, giving way to loose/clean arm action that got good extension over the front. He got better every inning he threw and for the beginning of January, appears to be in solid form leading up to the season. His FB had good tail, while his 10/4 CB sat from 72-73, and his CH with tail sat from 75-76. He maintained his arm-speed well and was deceptive. Overall - we are excited for Brendan's future as he ends his HS career and moves onto the next level this fall.

08/08/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Brendan is an athletic RHP with a solid frame for the mound and has a tremendous upside. Delivery is sound and repeatable allowing his arm action to work free and quickly to the plate. He has great poise with a solid mound presence. Arm strength is at a pro level as indicated by his top velocity of 91 mph. Fastball shows a range of 88-91 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Control is solid as he works both sides of the plate and works to get ahead of hitters. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Brendan has the makings of a special type arm and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his abilities on the bump.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
