Official Scouting Report

  • 5Class Rating
  • LHPPosition Projection

03/20/2022 - All-In Membership - Redmond, WA Brendan is a LHP who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. On the mound, this left-handed pitcher has long levers and a projectible frame. Gets a good rear hip coil, with clean leg lift, and gets his eyes on target early. He lands square to target and keeps his frontside closed. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 74-78mph with arm side run, a 1/7 shaped breaking ball with medium break, a changeup with good run that he throws with FB arm speed, and a developing cutter. At the plate, starts with an athletic and square stance. A square glide step, with a good rear hip coil, and he hits into a firm front side. Ability to get on-plane early as he hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph. As he continues to develop and mature, we foresee Brendan making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
