08/02/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Brendan is a coachable RHP/SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. On the mound, Brendan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, finishing square to the plate. Brendan shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 67-68mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 70-72mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Striding square toward the plate can help Brendan improve as a pitcher. In the field, Brendan makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Brendan can improve defensively by getting into a more athletic fielding position. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in a tall stance and works to barrel up the baseball, using the entire field well. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Brendan improve as a hitter. Overall, Brendan is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.
