Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.38 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Hands are clean is clean and presents out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential is outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop, Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. With 2 years to further develop, Brenden has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
