Brenden continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 1.98. Offensively, he continues to shine through a squared setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage, resulting in a barrel explosion with the ball screaming off of his barrel. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

Brenden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has the makings of a special type player at the next level. He did show at 3B for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.21 runner. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved, now showing as tremendous potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on line zip across the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.11 with accuracy on his throws. He tracks the ball well and presents a low target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front.

Brenden is an athletic and talented 2020 catching prospect. Behind the dish, Brenden is in a balanced primary stance and has a staggered secondary stance. He presents a low/early glove and tries to work behind the ball. When blocking, he leads with his glove and tucks his chin. When throwing, he has a clean exchange but has a tendency to open up his front shoulder. At the plate, Brenden starts in an athletic stance and strides toward the pitcher. He creates backside rotation with his lower half and shows raw power to all fields. Brenden was eager to learn and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Brenden is an athlete that works hard behind the plate. Behind the plate, feet are quick in gaining ground through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed in the 2.22 range. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a solid setup and sticks balls well in the zone and utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner. At the plate, hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 3 for 8. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable, and plays the game hard.

Brenden is an athletic catcher with a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he utilizes his feet well in working in line to his target through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. He is flexible and displays a solid setup and utilizes his body well through the blocking process. Receiving / blocking sills show as quality tools that will player well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. He gets to a strong launch position and shows quick hands (88 mph exit velocity) that generate bat speed to and through contact, creating extension. Barrel accuracy is a plus with strength in his swing as the baseball explodes off the bat when centered with power showing best to the pull side. With 2 years to further develop, Brenden has a ton of potential and is a sure player to follow.
