06/06/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Texas Brennan had an impressive showing at the BF Texas Showcase. Based on his performance, he seemed worthy of the high compliment of being called a "true baseball player." Brennan seems to have outstanding feel for the game and he really competes between the white lines. His game starts with speed - he ran a 6.57 in the 60. That quickness is evident in his first step in the field and allows him to play several different positions on the field. At the plate he has a short, quick LH stroke and battles in every at bat. He sees lots of pitches and his line drive swing utilizes the entire field well. Overall, this is an exciting prospect to follow who looks to be a top-of-the-order bat at the next level.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Brennan is an athletic and talented 2021 SS prospect. At SS, Brennan is on time with his prep step, he presents a low/early glove, and has a quick first step to the ball. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws form multiple arm angles. He has range on both sides of the glove and plays through the ball. At the plate, Brennan starts in a squared stance, he loads his hands back on time, and he looks to attack the inside part of the ball. He has fast hands, he uses his lower half, and he looks to drive the ball to all fields. On the bump, Brennan finds a balance point, he separate on time, and throws his fastball on both sides of the plate for strikes. Brennan is highly competitive and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Brennan is a very athletic 2021 Shortstop. Has very active feet, takes a quick first step, is very agile and fields the ball cleanly and efficiently. Works through the ball well and delivers strong, accurate throws across the diamond (90mph Arm Velocity). Clean arm action and mixes slots, can make all the types of plays defensively. At the plate this LHH has a nice loose and athletic setup. Gets his front foot down on time and delivers a nice compact swing directly to the ball. Makes consistent hard line drive contact. An all around talent, Brennan should advance nicely into play at the next level.

11/25/2018 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Brennan is an athletic SS prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Brennan shows fluid footwork and flashes good lateral range. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with good carry across the diamond. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact to all fields. Overall, Brennan is a talented prospect who will be one to follow going into his sophomore season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
