11/10/2019 - College PREP - Wildomar (Los Angeles), CA Brennan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now displaying well above average hitting abilities through a squared setup. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently with proper weight transfer. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Brennan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat but needs to work to get behind balls more and play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but he will benefit by getting on a long toss program to aid in building more arm strength. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/12/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Wildomar (Los Angeles), CA Brennan is a thin, athletic OF/2B. Defensively in the OF, he takes aggressive routes/angles as he tracks down hard-hit fly balls. He secures the catch with soft hands and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. At 2B, he moves laterally with active footwork into a square fielding position on GB's. He makes all of the routine plays and tries to play through the ball towards his target. As a hitter, Brennan sets up square and gets back into a good load. He swings hard through the zone and looks to drive pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Lateral range
2. Develop soft hands
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Outfield
1. Work behind the fly ball more
2. Quicker exchange to throw
3. Play through
Offense
1. Develop rhythm
2. Improve bat speed
3. Level out swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
