01/13/2012 - 2012 Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Brennan continues to show as a solid prospect behind the plate. He has a very strong arm and continued to show sub 2 pop times. He tracks the ball well, has quick footwork, and a smooth transfer/exchange. Offensively, he has power to his pull-side and takes a level hack. He will benefit if he can let the ball travel and drive it to the opposite field. Morgan continues to shine and will get looks to play at the next level.

07/15/2011 - Team One South 2011 Brennan is a tall, solid catcher that will graduate in 2012. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.00 60 time. Feet are active working in line to his target through a quick, clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Throws display life, carry through his target with pop times showing a range of 1.91-2.02. Receiving and blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. Offensively, Morgan continues to shine through a balanced approach. Hands are quick generating plus bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off his bat when centered with power numbers improving as he learns to be more aggressive and utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing. Brennan has the makings to be a special type player at the next level and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his defensive and offensive abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
