03/10/2019 - College PREP - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Brennen is a tall SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2020. In the field, Brennen shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. Loosening his arm action can help Brennen improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting back into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and solid gap to gap power. On the mound, Brennen gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works inline towards the plate and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Brennen shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph. Breaking ball sits from 62-64mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 70-72mph. Extending through his release can help Brennen improve as a pitcher. Overall, Brennen is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.
