01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Breon is an athletic OF/RHP out of Blythewood, SC who showed as a prospect at the Rookie Preseason All American event. In the OF, he displays fluid/athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with online carry (83 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing, rotating his hips aggressively. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 78-81 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with sweeping break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. With 3 1/2 years to further develop, Breon has potential and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

09/12/2021 - All-In Membership - Greenville, SC Breon continues to shine on the diamond and show improvements in his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Breon is a hard working 2025 SS prospect who honed his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Breon shows good athleticism and active feet. He has a great attitude and hustled all week long. Made numerous diving stops during BP and live game action. Accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with a clean exchange, and an arm velocity across the diamond at 81mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Showed a strong barrel, with late bat whip, and a flat barrel who gets extended through the baseball. Hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity of 78mph during BP. Reached base 6 times in live game action, with a double, 2 base on balls, 2 reached on errors, and a hit by pitch. Had 2 stolen bases and gets good reads while on the bases. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we see Breon having a good high school career and beyond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
