10/11/2015 - College PREP - Gaffney, SC Brevin is a lean RHP that will graduate in 2016. Delivery is repeatable as he uses his lower half well and allows his arm action to work long and well to the plate through an over the top arm slot. Fastball shows a range of 71 -74mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break as he needs to stay on top of pitch more. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength, works to throw more strikes, and develops better off speed pitch. Brevin has abilities with a lot room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
