01/18/2013 - 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Rapp has solid strong build, with good overall athletic ability. At this event, he showed as a talented and capable two-way player. On the mound, he topped at 87 with his fastball and featured a usable low 80s cutter and mid 70s breaking ball. Though he wrapped a bit on the back side, his arm worked well from the glove and out front with quickness and life. His delivery was balanced and had good sequence and direction. This combined with a sound landing and full finish allowed him to get good extension out front. He attacked the zone with a lot of cutters and breaking balls, rarely used his CH and used his FB sparingly. Has a live arm, along with solid secondary stuff and fastball velocity in reserve. Defensively, he showed athletic actions along with good footwork and a quick transfer. His arm was plenty to easily carry the ball across the infield. At the plate, he featured a balanced approach and showed good barrel accuracy. The ball jumped off his bat when he centered it. He hit from an open stance, and tended to stay a bit open - this caused his stroke to get a bit sweepy and long at times.
