10/30/2022 - All-In Membership - Indianapolis, IN Brock is a talented C/3B in the 2024 class. Behind the plate, he has active feet and centers his body behind the baseball. Works with a slightly staggered stance and has strong glove presentation. He works up from the ground to consistently catch the bottom of the baseball. His eyes are quiet and tracks the baseball unto the glove. His exchanges are quick and clean. Uses short arm action to make on-line throws (2.08/83 velo). Tucks his chin well on blocks and uses a one knee approach. In the field, he has agile movements and great pre-pitch actions. Gains an athletic fielding stance with advanced pocket feel. Uses a short high ¾ arm slot to generate quick and accurate feeds. Scouts were impressed with his ability to sync his arm and footwork to get square to his targets. At the plate, he shows strong barrel feel and gap-to-gap production. Has bat speed (88 exit velo) and uses a direct bat path. Overall, Brock is an outstanding prospect who will receive looks for the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
