03/17/2013 - College PREP - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Brock is a hard throwing RHP who has a projectable build. On the mound, this RHP has a 4-pitch mix with the ability to put the ball where he wants to. FB ranges from 80-83 mph and shows some late life. CB shows 10/4 shape and gradual break while a CH and SL round out his repertoire. He works in-line toward the plate and finishes in an athletic position. Continuing to develop his off-speed and loosening up his mechanics will improve mound effectiveness. As a hitter, Brock displays an open stance and solid load. He gets his lower 1/2 through as he delivers the barrel and getting extension through contact. He has pop to his pull-side and hits line-drives. This RHP is a very talented prospect and is one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
