02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Brock is a 2024 3B/RHP. Tall frame, and athletic build with square shoulders and projectable frame with room to fill throughout. Primary 3B, fields the ball out front in the infield. Has ability to make the routine plays. Shows some carry across the diamond from a high 3/4 slot, hit 81mph on throws. Secondary righthanded pitcher, clean mechanics with low effort release. Full and loose arm action working to a high 3/4 release point, at times over the top. Fastball has some life to it through the zone when extended out front. Does a good job of keeping hitters off balance. Flashed a curveball with 11/5 shape and a changeup with good sink. In 3 innings of work had 4 Ks. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even/upright stance. Glides into contact, stays short to the ball and repeats well, can continue to refine mechanics moving forward. Keeps hands inside, line drive bat path that projects with additional extension out front. As he continues to mature and develop, we see him having a promising career at the next level.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Brock is a 3B/RHP that showed plus potential on the mound and out in the field. His FB is 71-73 with true 4-seam action, the CB is 11-5 with medium to hard break and is a potential out pitch as he grows, and the CH is 62-65 with FB arm speed deception. His mechanics are clean as he gathers over the rubber well showing a clean arm action. He lands with a proper stride for his body and finishes in line with a repeatable delivery. His frame has a lot to grow into with great pitchability. At 3B, Brock shows active and effective footwork with agile range in both directions. He fields the ball low with a confident glove. His funnel to exchange is clean as he gets rid of the ball with a loose arm action delivering an accurate ball from multiple angles. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
