10/26/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures South Brodie is an athletic RHP who is a top prospect on the mound. Delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 87-90 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late / sharp downward break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a plus feel for pitch with sinking action. Off speed pitches show as an outstanding pitches that will get outs. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. With 2 years to further develop, Brodie has an upside on the bump and will get looks from the top college coaches and pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Brodie is an athletic and projectable 2021 RHP prospect. On the bump, Brodie has confidence in all three pitches and commands the inside part of the plate. He gets balanced over the back leg, separates on time, and rides his back left toward the plate. He has a loose arm action, he stays directional toward the plate, and works north to south in his delivery. Brodie will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
