06/08/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Texas Brody is an athletic LHP who is a top prospect on the mound. Delivery is sound/repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 82-85 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a plus feel for the pitch with sinking action. Off speed pitches show as an outstanding pitches that will get outs. At the plate, he has pro level hitting/power abilities. He has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack, crushing the ball to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 92 mph). The baseball comes off the bat differently when centered. Brody has an upside on the mound and will get looks from top collegiate coaches and pro scouts.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
