10/23/2019 - Under Armour SoCal Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Brody is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the SoCal Classic. In the field, Brody makes the routine plays and makes a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets into a simple load and produces fast bat speed through the zone, leading to great gap to gap pop. On the mound, Brody gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline towards the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. Brody shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 85mph. Breaking ball sits from 68-71mph with sharp 11-5 break. Overall, Brody is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

07/21/2019 - College PREP - Fargo, ND Brody is a tall, lanky 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying outstanding hitting abilities with near pro level power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing, driving to ball to the deepest part of the ball park. At 3B, he continues to shine as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active and he displays proper footwork and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is soft /sure and presents well out front as he makes all the plays. Range will increase as he improves and he increases foot quickness. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 77-82 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Brody has a huge upside and will gets looks from the top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
