10/25/2020 - All-In Membership - Nashville, TN Harmon continues to work hard and progress on the diamond. On the mound, this lefty works from the stretch, gets tall, has smooth separation and stays directional toward the dish. He has a long arm action, reaches back and fires. FB now tops out at 56 mph and he works the ball to both sides of the plate. Breaking ball shows 2/8 shape with gradual action - 40-41 mph. Working to drive off of the rubber with his lower 1/2 and finish with extension on his follow through will aid in his development on the mound. In the OF, he hustles to fly-balls hit to his right and left. He secures the ball with 2-hands and works in-line toward his target. Gaining more ground through the ball and utilizing his full body will help to get more into his throws. As a hitter, this righty shows a balanced setup with smooth rhythm to load. Swing is level as he connects and looks to drive the middle of the field. Only a 2025 grad - Brooks has skills with still a ton of time to develop.

08/25/2019 - Accelerated Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Brooks is a lean LHP/OF prospect who will graduate in 2025. On the mound, Brooks shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 54mph. Changeup sits from 51-53mph. In the field, Brooks shows efficient footwork and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a 3/4 angle and work to keep his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid contact to all fields. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Pitching
1. Balance point
2. Looser arm action
3. Lower half drive
Fielding
1. Lateral range
2. Cleaner exchange
3. Long toss
Hitting
1. Smoother rhythm
2. Shorter swing
3. Add strength

08/26/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Brooks is a lean, 2-way player who pitches and plays OF. On the mound, Brooks stands over the rubber well balanced, he has good glove tuck, and a square direction toward home plate. He is around the zone with his pitches and his FB touched 51 MPH. In the OF, Brooks shows good hustle to the ball, he fields in a square position, and throws with a long arm action across the diamond. Offensively, Brooks has a square set-up, good balance, and he gets his lower body through. He makes contact and can spray to all fields. Brooks can further improve with work on the following.

Pitching
1. Arm action
2. Separation
3. Finish
Outfield
1. Follow throws
2. Quicken feet
3. Arm strength
Offense
1. Finish
2. Rhythm
3. Bat speed

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
