07/13/2012 - 2012 Team One South Showcase Bryan is a tall and thin switch-hitting shortstop. In the infield he covers plenty of ground and makes accurate throws with plenty of carry across the diamond. His defensive abilities should continue to develop as he learns to field the ball further out in front. Offensively he has similar swings from both sides of the plate. He has a smooth load and quick strong hands that allow him to create extension through the zone. As a 2013 graduate, Bryan has the opportunity to continue to develop his skills in preparation for the next level.

01/13/2012 - 2012 Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Bryan continues to show as a solid prospect at the shortstop position. He improved his foot-speed, running his fastest 60 time to date at 6.97. Offensively, he has quick hands a uses his lower 1/2 well. He flashes power from both sides and can spray the ball gap-to-gap. Defensively, he displays good range and his throws show life and carry in them. Abilities will improve as he plays thru to his target more. Bryan still has a year to continue to work on his skills and is a player to keep an eye on.

11/20/2011 - College PREP - Germantown, TN Bryan is a tall, athletic SS that will graduate in 2013. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.05 60 time. Feet are active / aggressive as he moves well laterally, displaying range. Hands are soft, clean, and sure as he presents out front in making all the plays. He needs to play through more, staying low to improve defensive grades. Arm strength is outstanding with throws displaying life, carry, and accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, Reynolds continues to show outstanding abilities from both sides of the plate. He projects slightly better from the right side but can swing it from both sides. Hands are quick, generating superior bat speed through a short, direct path as he works to stay inside. Power potential is near a pro level with the baseball exploding off his bat when centered as he displays plus barrel accuracy. He will hit and hit with power at the next level. Bryan has the makings to be a special type player and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
