06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS)
Bryce is a 1B prospect in the class of 2022. Tall frame athletic build, with a strong lower half, who has plenty of room to add muscle. Right-handed hitter starts with a crouched and even stance. Good hip turn, with good extension through contact, and an aggressive approach at the plate. Ability to backspin balls into both gaps with a recorded bat exit velocity of 83mph. Showed good plate discipline drawing 2 BB and hitting a double in live game action. At 1B, he starts with active feet. Showed a good glove angle on his backhand while keeping his eyes behind glove. Created good angles and ability to pick out hops. Good bag awareness at first base. With another year of continued growth and development, we foresee him having opportunities to play at the next level.
09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament
Bryce continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential is now outstanding through a crouched setup. Hands are strong and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing with gap-t-gap pop. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 68 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.
12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18)
Bryce is a coachable 1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic. In the field, Bryce makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Bryce improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with loose hands. He is fluid getting into a small load and gets good extension through the ball, leading to solid pop potential. Bryce can improve as a hitter by working on his athleticism. Overall, Bryce is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.
06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
Bryce is a coachable 1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Omaha National World Series. in the field, Bryce gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Taking a quicker first step can help Bryce improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH takes a short stride and gets into a small load. He takes a level swing with plus bat speed, leading to consistent contact and line drives. Bryce can improve as a hitter by getting his front foot down sooner. With three more years to develop, Bryce has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
04/28/2019 - College PREP - Fairfield (Sacramento), CA
Bryce is an athletic 2022 first baseman. In the field Bryce has a good pre-pitch routine and gets into an athletic and low fielding position. He has soft hands and presents well. Bryce makes quick and clean exchanges making the routine plays while showing awareness around the bag. Bryce creates good angles to the ball and makes accurate, consistent throws. Becoming more aggressive to the ball will allow Bryce to make more advanced plays. At the plate, Bryce shows opposite field power hitting line drives backside. He has a smooth load with a short stride. Bryce can become a more well-rounded hitter by creating more hip/shoulder separation and getting more balanced in his set up. This should help create the ability to all fields. As a freshman, Bryce has a solid foundation to begin his development over the next four years.
