01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Bryce is an athletic 1B/LHP prospect who showcased his skills at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. in the field, Bryce makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with comfortable hands. He gets his hands activated in his load and makes solid contact. On the mound, Bryce starts with a simple rock step and gathers over the rubber. He separates his hands on time and works with a clean arm, staying inline towards the plate. Bryce shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 67mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 58-61mph with 1-7 break. Changeup sits from 63-64mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. With four more years to develop, Bryce has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

11/25/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Shreveport, LA Bryce is a long, athletic, 2-way player who plays 1B and LHP. Defensively, Bryce has efficient footwork, agile movements, and he moves well around the bag. He has a quick/clean exchange and throws with momentum and carry to his target. On the mound, Bryce has a good frame, he stands over the rubber well balanced, and keeps his eyes on target. He works well to his balance point, has good direction toward home, and is around the zone with his pitches. At the plate, Bryce has a square set-up, good balance, and he creates solid leverage. He has fast bat speed, works the ball gap to gap, and uses his lower body. Bryce can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
