06/14/2014 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1
Bryce showed hard work, and asked questions during his time in Omaha. In the INF, Bryce plays hard, he shows some quickness, and he funnels in well. He has good body control to the ball and has some accuracy to his target. On the mound, Bryce has good direction, he stands over the rubber well, and he mixes his 3 pitches well. He has a good back arm action, some hip coil, and competes in the zone. At the plate, Bryce has a good base, level stroke, and level hips. He has an activated load, and good hand-eye coordination. Bryce will improve his game by continuing his drill work and with added physical strength.
01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18)
Bryce continues to show as RHP/2B but currently projects slightly better on the mound for the next level. On the mound, he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 75 mph. Fastball shows a range of 73-75 mph with cutting action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with sinking action. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to increase as he builds more arm strength and. At 2B, he moves well laterally, flashing range. Feet are active as he works to square balls up, displaying clean hands. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he plays through balls more and present hands more out front. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup and aggressive approach. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all. Hitting grades will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner, squaring up to work on time. Power numbers will increase as he learns to use his lower half more and add overall body strength. At the event, he was 3 for 6. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a hard worker and is very coachable.

Bryce is a 2-way player as a RHP/2B. On the mound, he has a 3-pitch mix coming from a repeatable delivery. He gathers well over the rubber and has good hip coil, and drives off of the rubber. FB tops out at 74 mph while breaking ball shows sweeping action. He is around the plate with all of his pitches throwing strikes. Increases arm strength will help raise velocity and improve mound effectiveness. Defensively in the middle infield, Bryce maintains active footwork and moves well right to left. He makes the plays and has the ability to turn the DP quickly. Offensively, Lowrey shows a simple approach and quiet actions. He swings on a level path and creates consistent contact. Bryce is only a sophomore and has a lot of time to develop his game.
