12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Bryce is a 2019 C/RHP prospect with a strong upper body. Behind the dish, Bryce has efficient footwork and displayed good lateral movements to the ball despite coming off an ankle injury. Continuing to be in an athletic primary/ secondary and working behind the ball will make him a more efficient receiver. Leading with the glove and smothering the ball will the chest will help Bryce control the running the game when blocking. At the plate, Bryce starts in a tall stance and keeps a quiet head. He has good hip rotation and gets the barrel on plane with the ball. Loading his hands into the drive position and getting his front foot down on time will help him recognize pitches more consistently. On the bump, Bryce drives his back leg to the plate, works down hill and has late movement on the fastball. Developing his secondary pitches will allow his fastball to be more effective in the strike zone. Bryce is a hard working player and will continue to improve with experience. We hope to see his progress in the future.
