Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

11/02/2023 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at JRTC Bryce is a tall 6ft 2/170 3B/RHP in the 2027 class. In the field, he shows great size and projectability for a corner infielder. He shows pre-pitch actions and has an understanding of how to play the position. Scouts would like to see him gain more ground to the baseball and pick out his hops. Arm plays at 74 and will only get stronger as he develops his body in the weight room. On the mound, he shows a good feel for pitching and maintains his composure. He likes to be aggressive and projects to be a potential finesse type arm. His FB sat 65 and worked well in the zone. His CB ranged 56 with 11-5 shape and displayed good difference in speed from the FB. At the plate, he begins in a squared stance with high hands. His stride is on-time and stays inside his feet well. Gains extension through the zone and can spray the ball to all fields. Overall, Bryce has major potential and solid work on and off the field will allow him to become a great player.

08/06/2023 - National Showcase - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Bryce is a 2027 RHP prospect with a tall, lanky frame at 6'2" 170 pounds. On the mound, he does well to gather his balance over the rubber and gets on-time separation. He keeps his eyes on his target and stays squared to the plate on delivery. He works hard to involve his lower half more. He has a proper stride length and stays balanced through his finish. He ran his FB up to 72 MPH and showed some tail/sink with the pitch. His CB has gradual 11-5 break. He does a great job of throwing his CH with FB arm speed and shows some run with the pitch. At the plate, he starts in a crouched, closed stance and shows good balance through contact. He gets his lower half involved and shows off good bat speed, doing a good job of working the ball to all fields. He works hard to extend through contact but recorded a max exit velo of 76 MPH. Overall, Bryce is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he begins his freshman year this fall!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
