01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Bryce is an atheltic 3B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Bryce takes a good first step and displays efficient footwork. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a two-handed exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated on time and drives through well with his lower half. He gets good extension through the ball with fast bat speed, leading to solid gap to gap pop. On the mound, Bryce starts with a simple rock step and gathers over the rubber. He separates his hands on time and stays inline towards the plate, showing a controlled finish. Bryce shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 69mph. Breaking ball sits from 54-59mph. With four more years to develop, Bryce has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Bryce is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Winter Classic. In the field, Bryce takes a good first step and displays efficient footwork. He fields the ball out in front of his body and makes a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws with good carry through his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a centered stride. He is controlled getting into a smooth load and drives through well with his lower half. He gets good extension with fast bat speed, leading to gap to gap pop. On the mound, Bryce starts with a simple rock step and gathers with a relaxed knee lift. He separates his hands on time and works with a loose arm, staying inline towards the plate. Bryce shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph with good arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 55-56mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 60-61mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. With four more years to develop, Bryce has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

10/21/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Potomac, MD Bryce is a long, athletic, 2-way player who plays 3B and RHP. Defensively, Bryce has quick feet, presentable hands, and he fields the ball in an athletic position. He works around it well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with momentum from a loose arm action to his target. On the mound, Bryce has a loose/free arm circle, he separates on time, and has a controlled landing toward home plate. He keeps his eyes on target, and throws strikes. Offensively, Bryce has a tall set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, a direct barrel to the ball, and he works it gap to gap; using his lower body. Overall skills can improve if Bryce can work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
