01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Bryce is a well built Outfield prospect in the 2018 class. Have very active fee pre pitch, takes a good first step utilizing plus range. A very athletic player who moves well (6.94s 60yd. dash) will do damage on the base paths. At the plate, sets up athletically, works with good rhythm and gets to a strong loaded position. Quick hands that stay inside of the baseball allow Bryce to drive the ball to all fields as well as well above average power to his pull side. Excited to see Bryce excel at the collegiate level next year.

07/18/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Bryce continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and is a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a superior runner at 6.63. In the OF, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays smooth / athletic actions. He utilizes his feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with life (85 mph velocity) and on line carry. At SS, he displays clean actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove actin is firm but will benefit by presenting more out front. At the plate, power potential is now outstanding. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. His lower half works well through the swing and he shows plus barrel accuracy.

12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Bryce is a coachable player who worked hard on his skills during his time at Pirate City. In the field, Bryce has fluid feet and is very agile when moving to field the ball. He presents his hands out front to field and throws from a high 3/4 angle. He gains momentum well on his throws which allows them to remain accurate and carry through his target. Bryce can improve defensively by getting into a lower position to field. At the plate, Bryce sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride to the ball. He maintains center balance throughout his swing and produces hard contact and line drives. Bryce can improve as a hitter by working more of a load into his swing. Overall, Bryce is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

07/11/2016 - College PREP - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Bryce is a strong SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 6.90. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up and plays through well. Glove action is soft but will benefit by presenting more out front. Throws display accuracy and on line carry across the diamond. At the plate, he shows a squared / balanced setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he works to use his lower half more aggressively. With 2 years to further develop, Bryce has the makings of a special type player as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
