01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Bryk showed as a prospect at the Preseason All American showcase. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.28 range with accuracy / carry on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting / power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight into a firm front side. On the mound, he shows a 2 pitch mix, keeping hitters guessing. Fastball shows a range of 78-80 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Overall, Bryk is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Bryk is a 2026 RHP/C who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. Behind the dish, he does a good job of replacing his feet and works with good direction towards second base. Presents a good target, with good elbow hinge, and tracks pitches well with strong hands. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 85mph and a best pop time of 2.35 seconds. Showed quick feet as he closes distance on balls in dirt and create good blocking angles. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and closed stance with comfortable hands. He hits into a firm frontside and has on-time rhythm to his swing. He shows a strong barrel with late bat whip. Good rotation enables him to hit balls to the pull side with a with a bat exit velocity up to 75mph during BP. On the mound, he is centered, with a relaxed leg lift, and works down the mound. He does a good job of mixing his pitches and works with good tempo. Attacks hitters with a FB topping out at 78mph with good movement, and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with tight spin. In 3 innings of work, Bryk punched out 4 hitters and didn't allow a run. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Bryk as he enters his freshman baseball season.

10/30/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Mobile, AL Bryk continues to show as a prospect with big improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.26 with accuracy / carry (85 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Bryk continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Preseason All American Rookie event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, feet are active as he gains ground and works through a clean / transfer exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest pop time to date at 2.31. Throws display accuracy with times continuing to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft as he lets the ball travel and tracks well, sticking in the zone. He utilizes his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 72-75 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a toss program.

07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Bryk is a 2026 C/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the World Series at Pirate City. Behind the plate, he showed quick feet and presents a low target. Works with good direction towards second base, with a quick exchange, and gets rid of the ball. Throws from an over-the-top, with a quick release, and an arm velocity of 75mph and a best pop time of 2.46 seconds. Showed good spine angle on his blocks, with his chin tucked, and gets to his feet quickly. On the mound, a right-handed pitcher who works with fast tempo and strides in line to plate. Good composure on the mound and he does a good job of mixing his pitches. Throws a FB that sits 72-75mph and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with medium break. In 4 innings of work of live game action, Bryk threw 61% of his pitches for strikes and struck out 4 hitters while surrendering 0 runs. A right-handed hitter starts with an athletic and wide stance. Has some natural juice in swing, with a short barrel path, and he rotates lower half to contact. Sprayed the ball to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during BP. Reached base 3 times in live game action with a 2 singles, and a reached on an error. He also had a stolen base. Another 5 years of continued growth and development will put him on track to have opportunities to play at the high school level and beyond.

01/24/2021 - All-In Membership - Jackson, MS Bryk is a tall, strong C/RHP who has a bright future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Pop times showed in the 2.35 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a closed setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 64-66 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball shows 3/9 shape with sweeping action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 5 years to further develop, Bryk has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
