03/20/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Greensboro, NC Bryson showed nice upgrades in his game, especially at the plate during his last workout in Greensboro. At 2B, Bryson has active feet, soft hands, and he fields in a low position. He takes good angles to field, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and momentum across to his target. Continuing to add arm strength will help abilities in the INF continue to improve. Offensively, Bryson improved both hitting and power grades to 48's. Offensively, Bryson has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and a short/square stride. He has fast bat speed, he makes hard/consistent contact, and he works the ball well gap to gap. More load and lower body will help solid hitting continue to spike.

08/15/2021 - All-In Membership - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Bryson is a tall, lean 2B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active in working around and playing through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness (7.16 60 time) in displaying range in the MIF. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying solid hitting / power through a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. With 2 years to further develop, Bryson has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
