06/29/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South This broad, strong first base prospect continues to shine, regardless of his competition. He takes huge hacks at the plate and consistently shows off his extraordinary raw power. Bubba's strong lower half and great bat speed produce laser after laser coming off his bat (exit velo = 96 mph). He is a very aggressive hitter and never gets cheated in an at bat. His ability to get the barrel of the bat to the ball is very advanced and ensure he doesn't run in to cheap outs. Bubba also plays a solid first base and presents a nice, big target for infielders. This is a rare hitting prospect who should waste no time making an impact at the next level.

09/19/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Sangster has a solid & strong build at 5-foot-11 and 215 pounds. He featured a strong right-handed stroke with bat speed quick hands to contact. His move is very simple, with only a small stride and very little movement back with his hands or bat pre-pitch. The ball jumped off his bat, but often had topspin or hook spin when he came from too far underneath to contact. Defensively, he got in front of the ball and showed enough feel with his hands to make a solid play on the ball. He has quickness in his feet and covered ground with his first step, giving him the ability to move his feet around the bag effectively. Overall, a powerful offensive player with strength and 7.04 speed in the 60 yard dash.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
