10/03/2021 - All-In Membership - Trenton, NJ Cade is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Cade shows active footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a direct swing with fast bat speed, spraying the ball to all fields. On the mound, Cade gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline toward the plate, finishing with his chest square to his target. Cade operates with a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph with arm side run. Slider sits from 71-72mph with sharp 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 72-73mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Cutter sits from 72-73mph with good movement. Overall, Cade is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
