07/28/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Cade is a coachable 1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Cade gets into position on time and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He gains ground well on his throws and keeps them accurate to his target. Taking a quicker first step can help Cade improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a relaxed stance with loose hands. He gets his hands activated in a small load and takes a smooth, level swing, producing consistent contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Cade is a solid prospect who will make an impact with the bat.

01/26/2020 - College PREP - Myrtle Beach, SC Cade is a solid 1st baseman who will graduate in 2020. Defensively, Cade has a presentable glove, efficient footwork, and he fields athletically. He has agile range, makes plays, and shows a clean exchange with a quick/accurate arm to his target. A little wider fielding base, increased foot speed, and continuing to strengthen his arm will help improve defensive numbers. At the plate, Cade has good balance, a square set-up, and a short stride. He has fast bat speed, he hits hard to the pull side, and he uses his lower body. Cade is a strong hitter and can get better with work on load and shortening up his swing path.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
