Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Cade is a very talented (6'1"/185) 2-way prospect (3B/RHP) who shined during his time at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At. A cannon for an arm (93 mph raw velocity), athleticism and speed (6.81 60 yard dash) round out this all-around talent. At 3B, he works fluidly on the balls of his feet from right to left around the GB. Hands are presented out in front as he smoothly fields, gathers and brings the ball in. Transfer is quick with zip on his throws. At the plate, Braden remains relaxed and balanced in his setup. Barrel is delivered with speed as he connects with pop and drives the ball on a line (exit velocity = 92 mph). Also a pitcher, this righty fills up the zone with a 3-pitch mix. Arm action is clean/smooth as he finishes with extension out over his front side. FB sits mid 80's while he works to keep breaking ball down in the zone. Changeup shows to be his best pitch as it has good tailing action complimenting his FB well and showing to be a solid out pitch. This 2020 grad will garner a ton of attention over the next year.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
